A beautiful spring theme scroll of a bush warbler on a plum tree by Genpo Nishiyama who lived in Kyoto and was popular artist at the end of Edo period but his details are unknown.
Very delicate brush strokes and pretty colors.
Some small holes and damages at the frame, but the painting is in good condition.

A sensitive brush works in soft colors scroll of a carp jumping out of iris pond by Araki Jippo (1872-1944)
Araki Jippo, a Japanese artist born in Nagasaki is well known artist by receiving Gold prize at British-Japanese Expo in 1910, and Silver prize at 1904 World Expo in St. Louise.
His works are exhibited at many museums in Japan including Tokyo Metropolitan Museum.

It comes in original wooden box. It has been remounted into silk frame and is in great condition.
